JOB DESCRIPTION
• Full time employee working in our midtown Manhattan offices
• B2B marketing to elite travel agents worldwide in the prestigious Virtuoso network, and providing client services for them.
• Write and execute B2B marketing plan targeted at top travel agents.
• Regular outreach to travel agents by phone and email as well as in-person sales calls.
• Creating regular newsletters and postings for Virtuoso website, Remote Lands website and social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
• General client support including helping design Asia travel itineraries for travel agent clients.
• Attending travel conferences. Travelling to Asia occasionally.
• Opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a small company with big aspirations, and the ability to play a major role in making those dreams come true.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Marketing and sales experience in the travel industry.
• Travel experience in Asia and general knowledge of Asia
• Great organizational skills. Meticulous attention to detail.
• Superb writing, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
• Enthusiastic and optimistic attitude. Hardworking and passionate. When you leave the office at night you continue to think about your work. You care deeply about the company’s success.
• Team player, on a small tight-knit team where you play a significant role.
• Technical and social networking proficiency – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, InDesign, Facebook, Twitter, Photoshop etc.
• Willingness to assist with a wide range of tasks including administrative jobs and whatever else is necessary in a small company.
